Commission appointing Charles Du Cane governor and commander-in-chief of Tasmania, December 29 1869.

Revokes the commission awarded to Thomas Gore Browne and gives Du Cane power over "our Island of Tasmania and of all islands and territories lying to the southward of Wilson's Promontory in the Province of Victoria...and also of Macquarrie Island lying to the south east of the said island of Tasmania." Decrees that he form an executive council, appoint justices and ministers, and carry out other duties and powers.
